Nina Teggatz' story of success

In 2015, Nina Teggatz completed her dual studies at FRS and currently works as Director Human Resources & Head of Management Office. FRS offered her professional development opportunities at a young age and gave her tasks with a high level of responsibility.

"The dual study program offers the opportunity to get to know work processes, employees and interdepartmental relationships of all FRS departments within three years. Upon entering professional life, a dual student at FRS is optimally prepared for the work and the challenges associated with it. The knowledge acquired about the company and the work processes can be optimally used directly upon completion of the apprenticeship."

Lukas Pohlmann’s story of success

Lukas Pohlmann completed his apprenticeship as an IT specialist with the specialisation system integration at FRS in spring 2020 with top marks and is now working as a system administrator in our office in Flensburg.

"Already during the apprenticeship, you are a full member of the IT team. We constantly carry out several exciting projects at the same time, so on the one hand you can help shape the content during your own apprenticeship and on the other hand you get a comprehensive insight into the current technologies of IT. Your own area of expertise grows steadily, and even more so after the apprenticeship. The international character of FRS is a special encouragement."

Why Flensburg?

Working in Flensburg means working where others go on vacation

Flensburg is located on the beautiful "Flensburger Förde” and is one of the northernmost cities in Germany. In addition to many vacationers - due to an extensive range of study opportunities - also many students live here.

Close to Scandinavia

Flensburg as the gateway to Scandinavia: It is no wonder that you can find some of the Scandinavian "hygge" flair as Flensburg is located directly on the danish boarder.

Close to the beach

The “Flensburger Förde” has a lot to offer. For example a large variety of beaches. It doesn't matter whether Ostseebad or Solitüde, the nearest beach is not far away.

Varied nature

In addition to the colourful city life, Flensburg also offers a beautiful landscape that is worth exploring. Not only the Baltic Sea coast with its many beaches, but also numerous forests invite you to linger in the picturesque and maritime landscape.

Extensive range of sports

Because of the proximity to the sea, there are plenty of opportunities to do water sports such as stand-up paddling or kite surfing. But all other sports lovers will also find a way to let off steam in Flensburg. With the SG Flensburg-Handewitt, for example Flensburg offers handball at the highest level.

The longest shopping mile in Schleswig-Holstein

Flensburg's city centre stretches from the Rote Straße to the Nordertor and offers many interesting shopping opportunities in addition to exciting backyards, cosy cafés and shoes hanging from the sky.

Flensburg as a student city

With numerous universities, Flensburg offers young people a diverse and dynamic environment. In addition to the Europa Universität and the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, the Duale Hochschule Schleswig-Holstein (FRS partner), is part of the university landscape in Flensburg.

FRS in the heart of Flensburg

The FRS headquarter is located right in the heart of Flensburg. A view over the port of Flensburg is not uncommon from the offices, and lunch breaks can be used to do errands in the city centre to go out for a meal or stroll along the promenade.
