FRS Shipmanagement Ltd. focuses on crewing and other maritime services, such as the development of software solutions for efficient ship operation.
The main objective of the company is to provide skilled, well-trained and highly-motivated crew members within the FRS Group and to other companies. The individual services offered include recruitment and selection, training and ongoing management, as well as personnel and payroll administration for the officers, ratings and service staff in employment.
Furthermore, support can be provided in the development of crew organisational structures on board and in the planning of appropriate work schedules. Put simply, FRS Shipmanagement can provide the right Human Resources solution – to the highest standard – for any maritime operation.
Terminal Management
In September 2013, the FRS Group was granted a 25-year concession for the operation of the Albanian Ferry Terminal in the Port of Durrës. This is provided by the group’s subsidiary Albanian Ferry Terminal Operator (AFTO) on a 24/7 basis. The scope of work includes the management, operation and maintenance of the ferry terminal as well as quality management in accordance with best practice principles.
In order to increase the speed and efficiency of the processes, the check-in of cars, trucks and passengers is recorded and processed electronically. Other services include cargo handling of RoRo units of all types such as trucks, trailers and heavy machinery.
AFTO's management team is an international team responsible for day-to-day operation of the port as well as training, quality management and health, safety and environmental management (HSE) for the entire operational and administrative organization.
