Giving back and being a good neighbor to the regions in which we conduct our business and shipping routes is one of our most important concerns as part of our program “FRS Cares”. This year our Christmas donation is going to Morocco.
Seattle • Clipper has become the newest participating member of Green Marine, the largest voluntary environmental program for the maritime industry in North America.
The "RömöExpress" began operating between Havneby and List on Sylt on Tuesday 12th November. The second Sylt ferry supports the "SyltExpress" in connecting the island of Sylt with the mainland. In November, Sylt residents and holidaymakers can use the ferry every hour. Therefore, the shipping company is expanding its capacity on the Havneby - List route on Sylt by over 150 %.
Morocco • Since the start of its operations in the Strait of Gibraltar in 2000, FRS has been a strong advocate and supporter of social and medical development projects in the country.
For our Cypriot colleagues it has already become a beloved tradition: From time to time the FRS Shipmanagement team particpates in beach clean-ups in Limassol. The company supports their engagement by enabling them to participate also during regular office hours.
Our subsidiary FRS HanseFerry used their ferry MV „Kleine Freiheit“ to provide an exclusive shuttle service for participants and spectators of the 17th edition of the fun run half-marathon “Blankeneser Heldenlauf” on September 1st, 2019.
The “Kombüsen Konzerte” (galley concerts) by FRS HanseFerry aboard MS “Kleine Freiheit” have long ceased to be an insider’s tip and are enjoying even greater popularity. 10 tickets for the 4th edition have been donated by our subsidiary to the OLL INKLUSIV association.
Environmentally friendly with LNG between Sylt and Römö
Flensburg • The Flensburg shipping group FRS, to which the Rømø-Sylt Linie belongs, buys another car ferry for your connection to Sylt. The shipping company is thus expanding its capacity on the route Havneby-List by more than 150 %. In November 2019 the ferry "Tresfjord" will start operations as the second Sylt ferry.
