FRS Helgoline final review of the 40th season 2024

“We are satisfied with this year's season,” said Tim Kunstmann, Managing Director of FRS Helgoline. ”Demand was good, and we are particularly pleased with the interest in our new departures from Brunsbüttel to Cuxhaven and Helgoland. In view of the overall demand for Helgoland, the Halunder Jet has once again proven to be a stable and sought-after pillar of traffic to the island.”

Positive response to new departures from Brunsbüttel
Regular connections from Brunsbüttel were offered for the first time this season. “The new connection from Brunsbüttel to Cuxhaven and Helgoland was very well received by passengers,” explained Kunstmann. “We will therefore be introducing a fourth departure day per week from Brunsbüttel in the main season next year to enable even more Schleswig-Holstein residents and holidaymakers to travel to Helgoland or Cuxhaven.” Passengers boarding from Brunsbüttel were very pleased with the free parking facilities directly at the jetty.

Outlook for the 2025 season: Brunsbüttel to be expanded
The new season starts on March 27 and runs until November 2, 2025, when the “Halunder Jet” will once again sail daily from Hamburg and Cuxhaven to Helgoland. As this year, Brunsbüttel will also be served throughout the 2025 season on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. From July to September, it will also be possible to board from Brunsbüttel on Tuesdays. The catamaran takes 3.5 hours to reach the island from Hamburg Landungsbrücken, 120 minutes from Brunsbüttel and 70 minutes from Cuxhaven. Tickets for the 2025 season can already be booked now. Currently also with the currently valid fare from the 2024 season.
