FRS Express des Îles strengthens fleet: High-speed catamaran “Topaze Express” to enter service by late 2025

Pointe-à-Pitre, 3 September 2025. The FRS Group and its subsidiary FRS Express des Iles are pleased to announce a major development in their operations in the Caribbean: the addition of the modern high-speed catamaran “Topaze Express”, scheduled to enter service at the end of 2025. This is an important step in our strategy for growth and fleet modernization.

With a length of 42 meters, a maximum speed of 28 knots (52 km/h), and space for 400 passengers across two decks (280 seats on the main deck, 120 on the upper deck, plus an open-air aft area), “Topaze Express” is designed to meet the requirements of FRS Express des Îles’ operations and the expectations of its passengers. The vessel will provide a reliable, regular, and comfortable maritime service on both regional and international routes.
