Giving back and being a good neighbor to the regions in which we conduct our business and shipping routes is one of our most important concerns as part of our program “FRS Cares”. This year our Christmas donation is going to Morocco.
Seattle • Clipper has become the newest participating member of Green Marine, the largest voluntary environmental program for the maritime industry in North America.
The "RömöExpress" began operating between Havneby and List on Sylt on Tuesday 12th November. The second Sylt ferry supports the "SyltExpress" in connecting the island of Sylt with the mainland. In November, Sylt residents and holidaymakers can use the ferry every hour. Therefore, the shipping company is expanding its capacity on the Havneby - List route on Sylt by over 150 %.
Morocco • Since the start of its operations in the Strait of Gibraltar in 2000, FRS has been a strong advocate and supporter of social and medical development projects in the country.
Flensburg • On the "RömöExpress", the additional Sylt ferry connecting the island of Sylt with the mainland from November 4th, 2019, a new GOSCH restaurant will be established. Therefore, GOSCH also operates on a ferry now.
For our Cypriot colleagues it has already become a beloved tradition: From time to time the FRS Shipmanagement team particpates in beach clean-ups in Limassol. The company supports their engagement by enabling them to participate also during regular office hours.
Our subsidiary FRS HanseFerry used their ferry MV „Kleine Freiheit“ to provide an exclusive shuttle service for participants and spectators of the 17th edition of the fun run half-marathon “Blankeneser Heldenlauf” on September 1st, 2019.
The “Kombüsen Konzerte” (galley concerts) by FRS HanseFerry aboard MS “Kleine Freiheit” have long ceased to be an insider’s tip and are enjoying even greater popularity. 10 tickets for the 4th edition have been donated by our subsidiary to the OLL INKLUSIV association.
Environmentally friendly with LNG between Sylt and Römö
Flensburg • The Flensburg shipping group FRS, to which the Rømø-Sylt Linie belongs, buys another car ferry for your connection to Sylt. The shipping company is thus expanding its capacity on the route Havneby-List by more than 150 %. In November 2019 the ferry "Tresfjord" will start operations as the second Sylt ferry.
Flensburg, Germany • On Wednesday, the 14th of August, Syltfaehre will present the pop star Beatrice Egli on the second evening of the 8th Syltfaehre Musicnight. The singer will be playing songs from her new album "Natürlich". The ticket pre-sale will start on Saturday, June 15th, at 12 pm on insel-ticket.de and at the ticket counters of Syltfaehre in Havneby and List on Sylt.
Flensburg / Heligoland • This year's music-cruise of the shipping company FRS Helgoline in Flensburg will be bringing the music group "Fettes Brot" to Heligoland. After the release of their new album "Lovestory", the German-speaking musicians will be playing an exclusive concert in the venue "Nordseehall" as a warm-up-show for the "Deichbrand Festival".
Tarifa • Förde Reederei Seetouristik (FRS) will introduce a faster and higher capacity vessel to the Melilla - Motril route in the coming dates. The RoPax vessel ''Golden Bridge'' will start operations on the line next May. This vessel, with an overall length of 186 metres and a beam of up to 24 metres, can make the Melilla - Motril crossing in 5 hours, meaning a reduction by 2 hours on the current crossing time.
Flensburg • The FRS Group and the Danish company ÆrøXpressen have signed a management service contract for the operation of the new ferry connection between Marstal (Ærø) and Rudkøbing (Langeland). An environmentally friendly diesel-electric ferry will be used which ÆrøXpressen is currently building in Riga and Hvide Sande. The begin of operations is scheduled for the winter of 2019.
