FRS Helgoline Reports Strong Results: Successful 2025 Season for HSC “Halunder Jet”

Hamburg 02.11.2025 – Managing Director Tim Kunstmann expressed his satisfaction:
“Demand remained stable throughout the entire season. Our daily departures from Hamburg and Cuxhaven, as well as our services from Brunsbüttel, developed very positively. It’s particularly pleasing that Brunsbüttel has now become a firmly established part of our schedule. The steadily growing number of passengers shows how well our service is being received.”

From music to ministers: A season full of highlights

Highlights of the 2025 season included the 5th FRS Helgoline Music Cruise with the bands DONOTS and Matze Rossi in June, the island festival celebrating the Day of the Seaside Services with an extended island stay in July, and the crossing of Bavarian Minister President Dr. Markus Söder in August, which generated widespread media attention beyond the region.

New offerings from the company also met with great enthusiasm. During Family Day, many guests took advantage of the opportunity to travel with up to three of their own children free of charge. Especially during school holiday periods, early booking proved worthwhile. The seal tours on Heligoland’s Düne Island, offered in cooperation with the Jordsand Association, also enjoyed great popularity and gave many guests a unique nature experience.

Brunsbüttel continues to gain ground

Since the route was introduced in early 2024, Brunsbüttel has further strengthened its position as an additional departure port in the 2025 season. “Feedback has been consistently positive – above all due to the convenient location and the free parking directly at the pier,” says Kunstmann. On the corresponding sailing days, the Halunder Jet connected three federal states: Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Schleswig-Holstein. Guests from all three regions were thus able to enjoy a fast and comfortable sea journey to Heligoland. The option to book partial routes between Hamburg, Brunsbüttel, and Cuxhaven also proved popular.

The Elbe route as a special experience

Once again in 2025, the route from Hamburg offered a truly special travel experience. The approximately three-and-a-half-hour voyage follows the entire Lower Elbe out to the North Sea and delights passengers with a blend of maritime scenery, harbor views, and wide river landscapes. “This route is unique in the Heligoland service for its variety and panorama,” says Managing Director Tim Kunstmann. “Such perspectives are usually only seen on cruise ships. For many guests, the journey from Hamburg alone is already a highlight of their trip.”

Looking ahead to 2026 – still bookable at current fares

The coming season will begin on March 19, 2026, and end on November 1. The Halunder Jet will once again operate daily from Hamburg and Cuxhaven and up to four times a week from Brunsbüttel. Bookings for the 2026 season are already open at www.frs-helgoline.de. Early bookers can currently still benefit from 2025 ticket prices.
