Panoramic round tours on the Tagus River in Lisbon, Portugal
In 2021, FRS has won a 5-year tender from the tourism organization "Associação de Turismo de Lisboa" (ATL) to operate one of eight ticket offices at a new pier on the Tagus River, located in the heart of Lisbon. Therefore, FRS launched its brand-new subsidiary FRS Portugal. Under this brand, FRS will offer guests up to four daily round-trip river tours including a special "Sunset Cruise".
The river cruises on the Tagus are expected to attract visitors and locals alike, guiding guests to optimal sights of the city's most beautiful vistas. From the unique river perspective, guests can enjoy a direct view of the equestrian statue in the Square of Commerce, which represents King Dom José I, as well as the triumphal arch facing the Rua Augusta. The spectacular suspension bridge Ponte 25 de Abril, the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology and the Monument of Discoveries are additional photoworthy highlights on the panoramic trip along with the Belem Lighthouse, the Tower of Belém and the Christo Rei statue.
A special highlight of this new touristic offer is the vessel: Due to a panoramic glass roof that can be opened up on demand, the vessel is a real Aqua Convertible. Thanks to this unique construction, the offer can meet all expectations and quickly react to different weather situations.
Every day, FRS Portugal operates up to 4 round tours, including a special Sunset Cruise in the summer. The service starts in May 2021 and will operate all year round.
