In 2014, Weiße Flotte brought 4 innovative solar-powered ferries into service for the public transportation services Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) in Berlin. The company operates these eco-friendly ships on two year-round routes plus two seasonal lines. They can each accommodate up to 49 passengers. The propulsion of these remarkable ships is provided by two electric motors that are powered by solar cells on the vessel's roof. As long as there is sufficient sunlight, the solar ferries will directly harvest it so that they run almost exclusively on solar energy. The ships are a major innovation in the field of public transport; the operation of such electrically powered ferries, in this size and number, is unique in Germany. For many years, the Weiße Flotte has also provided shuttle services at the main Volkswagen "Autostadt" visitor centre in Wolfsburg. A solar-powered catamaran used to bring guests from the visitor centre to the off-campus Safety Trainig Course for drivers there. This route was previously served by two conventional passenger ferries that were then used for shuttle services from Wolfsburg-Autostadt to Wolfsburg-Fallersleben and back.

And last but not least, the Weiße Flotte operates a charming rowing boat ferry on behalf of the BVG. The group's smallest vessel, the rowing boat "Paule III" started operations in 2015 and is able to transport 8 passengers or 4 passengers plus 4 bicycles. Impressively, this route has existed for more than a 100 years.
