FRS, based in Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein, is taking over the "Elbfähre Glückstadt Wischhafen". As a family-run company with a history of more than 150 years, FRS is the successor to the North German ferry line. FRS also includes the shipping companies FRS Helgoline with its catamaran connection from Hamburg via Cuxhaven to Helgoland as well as the FRS Sylt Ferry as a reliable year-round connection to Sylt.
Tarifa • On Friday, July 3rd, FRS carried out a trip to repatriate mainly German citizens and people of other northern European nationalities who were in the country after the border closure ordered by Morocco last March. The crossing was made by the FRS ferry Kattegat, which carried about 300 passengers and 180 vehicles from the port of Tangier Med to Algeciras.
